Add this great all-rounder recipe to your everyday morning routine, this is ideal for those in stage 3 of their post-operative diet.

Serve 1.



  • 1 thin slice of wholemeal or granary toast from a small loaf (400g), or a wholemeal toasted sandwich thin
  • 1 egg
  • Optional: 1 tbsp wilted spinach
  • Optional: 1/4 of an avocado



  1. Break the egg into a non-stick frying pan with just a teaspoon of water and cover with a lid and cook for 3 minutes
  2. Put bread of choice in the toaster
  3. Optional: slice the avocado and place on toast, or add the wilted spinach
  4. Place the poached egg on top and enjoy.
