Weight loss medications work by helping to regulate appetite and increase feelings of fullness, making it easier to eat less and manage your weight. Different treatments work in slightly different ways, and your clinician will explain how your chosen treatment works during your consultation.
We offer a range of clinically approved weight loss treatments, including weekly injections and daily oral tablets. The options available to you will depend on your individual circumstances and clinical suitability.
There isn’t one treatment that’s right for everyone. Your clinician will review your health, medical history and treatment goals during your consultation and talk you through the option you have chosen or whether an alternative may be more suitable for you.
We believe weight loss treatment should be about more than simply ordering medication.
After completing your online assessment, you’ll have a video consultation with a clinician. While this is an important part of making sure treatment is clinically suitable for you, we don’t want you to see it as simply another step in the approval process.
We see it as a chance to have a proper conversation, get to know you and understand your health, your experiences and what you want to achieve from your weight loss journey. It also gives you the opportunity to ask questions, talk through your treatment options and build a relationship with the clinician supporting you.
We want to make sure you feel informed, supported and confident in your treatment, so you can get the most out of your weight loss journey with Streamline.
Once you’ve been clinically approved for treatment, your Patient Adviser will arrange a delivery day that works for you, so you can be home to receive your medication. We’ll keep you informed throughout the process.
Most of our weight loss treatments are started at a lower dose and gradually increased over time. This allows your body to adjust to the medication and helps your clinician monitor how you’re responding to treatment.
But we don’t increase your dose simply because it’s the next step in the schedule. If the dose you’re taking is working well for you, there’s no need to increase it. Your clinician will review how you’re responding to treatment and advise you on whether and when a dose increase is appropriate.
Like all medicines, weight loss treatments can cause side effects. Common side effects can include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation and other digestive symptoms, particularly when starting treatment or increasing the dose.
Your clinician will explain the potential side effects of your treatment and what to do if you experience them. You can also contact your Patient Adviser for support throughout your treatment.
Results vary from person to person. The amount of weight you lose can depend on factors including your starting weight, treatment, dose, diet, activity levels and how your body responds to medication.
Clinical trial results can give an indication of what is possible, but they aren’t a guarantee of individual results. It’s also important not to choose a treatment based solely on the highest percentage of weight loss seen in clinical trials. Different treatments work differently for different people, and what matters is finding a treatment that is clinically suitable for you and works well for your individual circumstances.
Weight loss medication is designed to work alongside healthy eating and regular physical activity. As your appetite changes, your nutritional needs can change too, which is why we provide support and guidance alongside your treatment.

In some circumstances, it may be possible to switch from one treatment to another. Whether this is appropriate depends on your current medication, medical history, treatment response and individual circumstances.

If you already know which treatment you’d like to proceed with, you can select and purchase it after completing your assessment. If you’re unsure which treatment is right for you, that’s absolutely fine too — our Patient Adviser team will be in touch to chat through your options.
Either way, you’ll have a video consultation with a clinician who will go through the information you’ve provided, check whether your chosen treatment is clinically suitable for you and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you have about your treatment.
If you’re clinically approved, your Patient Adviser will then arrange a delivery day that works for you, so you can be home to receive your medication.
And the support doesn’t stop when your medication arrives. You’ll have ongoing support from your Patient Adviser, specialist dietitian support and guidance throughout your weight loss journey.
Your first month is charged at a discounted introductory price when you start your subscription. After you’ve completed your online assessment, our Patient Adviser team will be in touch to arrange your clinician consultation, where you can discuss your treatment, goals and any questions you have.
Once your treatment has been prescribed, your Patient Adviser will arrange for your medication to be delivered on a day that works for you, and you’ll have ongoing support from our team throughout your treatment.
When it’s time for your next order, your subscription payment will automatically be taken. Your Patient Adviser will contact you before your next delivery to check how you’re getting on, discuss whether a dose change is appropriate, and arrange a delivery date that works for you.
This means you don’t need to remember to place a new order each month, while still having the opportunity to speak to your Patient Adviser about how your treatment is going before your next delivery.
Your journey begins with a short questionnaire so our clinical team can understand your health, goals and which treatment is right for you. There’s no pressure and no commitment at this stage, just clear guidance on your options.
