Looking for an alternative to weekly injections? There are now two oral weight loss treatments available through Streamline: Wegovy® pill and Foundayo®.
Both are taken once a day, but they work in different ways and have different instructions for taking them.
Whichever treatment is clinically suitable for you, with Streamline you’re getting more than medication. You’ll have expert clinical care and ongoing support throughout your journey.

Semaglutide
A once-daily GLP-1 tablet designed to help with weight management by mimicking GLP-1, a hormone involved in appetite and fullness.

Orforglipron
A once-daily GLP-1 tablet that works on the GLP-1 pathway to help regulate appetite and food intake.

GLP-1 medicines mimic this hormone, helping you feel fuller and reducing appetite, which can make it easier to eat less as part of a reduced-calorie diet.
But they don’t all work in exactly the same way.
Wegovy tablets contain semaglutide, which mimics GLP-1. Foundayo contains orforglipron, a different GLP-1 receptor agonist. Both work through the GLP-1 pathway, but they are different active medicines with different dosing and administration instructions.

About the Wegovy® Pill
The Wegovy Pill is a prescription weight-loss treatment in tablet form. It contains semaglutide, the same active ingredient found in the weekly Wegovy injection, but is taken once a day.
It’s the first oral GLP-1 medicine approved by the MHRA for weight management in the UK.
When you eat, your gut naturally releases a hormone called GLP-1. It helps signal to your brain that you’re full, slows digestion and reduces appetite.
The Wegovy Pill mimics GLP-1, helping you feel fuller for longer and reducing hunger. Many people find they feel less hungry between meals and feel full sooner when eating.
The Wegovy Pill needs to be taken first thing in the morning, on an empty stomach, with no more than 120ml of still water (around half a small glass).
You then need to wait at least 30 minutes before eating, drinking or taking any other medication.
Once the 30 minutes are up, you can get on with your normal morning routine.
Wegovy tablets have specific instructions for how they should be taken because these conditions help the medicine absorb properly. Not following the instructions can reduce how much semaglutide is absorbed into your body.
If you take medicines such as levothyroxine or a bisphosphonate, tell your clinician. These medicines can also have specific morning dosing requirements, which may affect how you take your Wegovy Pill.
Wegovy is generally suitable for adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI of 27 or above with a weight-related health condition, such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, PCOS or obstructive sleep apnoea.
You must also be 18 or over and have a UK delivery address.
Wegovy isn’t suitable for everyone. You may not be eligible if you:
A clinician will review your full health history as part of your assessment to determine whether Wegovy is suitable for you.
In clinical trials, people taking the 25mg Wegovy Pill lost an average of 13.6% of their body weight after 64 weeks, when combined with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity.
Results vary from person to person, and the amount of weight you lose will depend on a range of factors, including your starting weight, treatment dose and how your body responds to treatment.

About Foundayo®
Foundayo is a weight-loss treatment in tablet form. It contains orforglipron, a GLP-1 receptor agonist designed to help regulate appetite and support weight management.
Unlike Wegovy, Foundayo is taken once a day and can be taken with or without food, making it easier to fit into your usual routine.
When you eat, your gut naturally releases a hormone called GLP-1. It helps signal to your brain that you’re full, slows digestion and reduces appetite.
Foundayo contains orforglipron, which mimics the effects of GLP-1 by activating GLP-1 receptors in your body. This can help reduce appetite, increase feelings of fullness and make it easier to eat less.
Foundayo is taken once a day, at around the same time each day.
Unlike the Wegovy Pill, you can take Foundayo with or without food, so there’s no requirement to take it first thing in the morning or wait 30 minutes before eating or taking other medicines.
You should take Foundayo exactly as advised by your clinician and follow the instructions provided with your treatment.
Foundayo may be suitable for adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or a BMI of 27 or above with a weight-related health condition, such as type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, PCOS or obstructive sleep apnoea.
You must also be 18 or over and have a UK delivery address.
Foundayo isn’t suitable for everyone. You may not be eligible if you:
A clinician will review your full health history as part of your assessment to determine whether Foundayo is suitable for you.
In clinical trials, people taking the highest approved dose of Foundayo experienced an average weight reduction of 11.1% after 72 weeks in the relevant study population.
Results vary from person to person, and clinical trial results don’t guarantee how much weight you’ll lose. Your results can depend on factors including your starting weight, treatment dose, lifestyle and how your body responds to treatment.

Most weight loss providers focus on access to medication.
At Streamline, we understand that successful treatment takes more than simply prescribing medication and sending you on your way.
Have a question or need some guidance? We’re only a phone call away. Speak to a real member of our team when you need support.
Our experienced clinical team is here to guide you through your treatment and help you understand your options.
Your weight, health, goals and circumstances are unique. Your approach to treatment should be too.
We don’t disappear once your treatment starts. We’re here to support you as your journey progresses.
From the treatment you choose to the support you receive along the way, our approach is built around expert clinical care and you as an individual.
Weight loss medications work by helping to regulate appetite and increase feelings of fullness, making it easier to eat less and manage your weight. Different treatments work in slightly different ways, and your clinician will explain how your chosen treatment works during your consultation.
We offer a range of clinically approved weight loss treatments, including weekly injections and daily oral tablets. The options available to you will depend on your individual circumstances and clinical suitability.
There isn’t one treatment that’s right for everyone. Your clinician will review your health, medical history and treatment goals during your consultation and talk you through the option you have chosen or whether an alternative may be more suitable for you.
We believe weight loss treatment should be about more than simply ordering medication.
After completing your online assessment, you’ll have a video consultation with a clinician. While this is an important part of making sure treatment is clinically suitable for you, we don’t want you to see it as simply another step in the approval process.
We see it as a chance to have a proper conversation, get to know you and understand your health, your experiences and what you want to achieve from your weight loss journey. It also gives you the opportunity to ask questions, talk through your treatment options and build a relationship with the clinician supporting you.
We want to make sure you feel informed, supported and confident in your treatment, so you can get the most out of your weight loss journey with Streamline.
Once you’ve been clinically approved for treatment, your Patient Adviser will arrange a delivery day that works for you, so you can be home to receive your medication. We’ll keep you informed throughout the process.
Most of our weight loss treatments are started at a lower dose and gradually increased over time. This allows your body to adjust to the medication and helps your clinician monitor how you’re responding to treatment.
But we don’t increase your dose simply because it’s the next step in the schedule. If the dose you’re taking is working well for you, there’s no need to increase it. Your clinician will review how you’re responding to treatment and advise you on whether and when a dose increase is appropriate.
Like all medicines, weight loss treatments can cause side effects. Common side effects can include nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, constipation and other digestive symptoms, particularly when starting treatment or increasing the dose.
Your clinician will explain the potential side effects of your treatment and what to do if you experience them. You can also contact your Patient Adviser for support throughout your treatment.
Results vary from person to person. The amount of weight you lose can depend on factors including your starting weight, treatment, dose, diet, activity levels and how your body responds to medication.
Clinical trial results can give an indication of what is possible, but they aren’t a guarantee of individual results. It’s also important not to choose a treatment based solely on the highest percentage of weight loss seen in clinical trials. Different treatments work differently for different people, and what matters is finding a treatment that is clinically suitable for you and works well for your individual circumstances.
Weight loss medication is designed to work alongside healthy eating and regular physical activity. As your appetite changes, your nutritional needs can change too, which is why we provide support and guidance alongside your treatment.
Your dietitian can help you make practical changes that support your health and your weight loss journey.
In some circumstances, it may be possible to switch from one treatment to another. Whether this is appropriate depends on your current medication, medical history, treatment response and individual circumstances.
Speak to your clinician before making any changes to your treatment.
Start by completing our online assessment, which usually takes around 5 minutes.
If you already know which treatment you’d like to proceed with, you can select and purchase it after completing your assessment. If you’re unsure which treatment is right for you, that’s absolutely fine too — our Patient Adviser team will be in touch to chat through your options.
Either way, you’ll have a video consultation with a clinician who will go through the information you’ve provided, check whether your chosen treatment is clinically suitable for you and give you the opportunity to ask any questions you have about your treatment.
If you’re clinically approved, your Patient Adviser will then arrange a delivery day that works for you, so you can be home to receive your medication.
And the support doesn’t stop when your medication arrives. You’ll have ongoing support from your Patient Adviser, specialist dietitian support and guidance throughout your weight loss journey.
Clinical results
Clinical trials have shown that weight-loss medicines can lead to significant weight loss when combined with lifestyle support. Results vary depending on the medication, dose and length of treatment.
These figures are taken from separate clinical trials and should not be considered a direct comparison between treatments. Individual results can vary.
