Both use semaglutide and work through the same mechanism. The injection is given once weekly and has a slightly higher average weight loss in trial data (~19% vs ~17%). The tablet is taken once daily, requires no needle and no refrigeration, but does require a fasting routine. Your clinical team will help you decide which is best suited to your lifestyle and goals at your assessment.
Your assessment will be reviewed by our clinical team, who will confirm whether treatment is suitable for you. If appropriate, your dedicated patient advisor will contact you to arrange your initial consultation with a clinical specialist. Once stock becomes available in early July, we will send your starting dose via Royal Mail Tracked 28 delivery (signed), or by DPD Next Day if this has been requested by you through our patient support team.
If you’re starting for the first time, the 12-week programme gives you everything you need – medication, vitamins, dietitian access and structured clinical support from day one. Monthly treatment suits patients continuing after the starter programme or those wanting flexible ongoing access. Your clinical team will guide you at your assessment if you’re unsure.
