Why did you have surgery?
I have struggled with my weight all my life.
My mobility was non-existent, exacerbated by osteoarthritis in my knee, and not being able to go out during lockdown.
I had got to the point where I felt losing it was insurmountable, and I couldn't even face up to it.
I was worried about my family and how my weight impacted on them. I had been like this for a long time.
How has life been since surgery?
My day-to-day life is so much easier, just things like having a shower, getting in and out of the car or doing the hoovering.
I can walk much, much farther than I could before.
I have lost about 13.5 stones in total, and ideally would like to lose about four more.
My daily life is so much better, I can buy clothes I like and know they’ll fit me, I can fit into theatre and aeroplane seats, which is wonderful.
How was your experience with Streamline?
My experience with Streamline has been really positive.
I had a previous consultation with another company at the beginning of 2020 which was a bad experience.
Mr Somers was very understanding and empathetic, he made sure I was looked after really well in the hospital post-surgery, and is a lovely man.
Also, other staff when I have needed help have been very supportive and I feel I can rely on everyone I've dealt with.
The support from the dieticians prior and post-surgery has been excellent.
