Katie's story
I feel so much healthier and happier and I am able to care for my son without struggling like I did before.

I decided to have surgery after struggling with dieting all my life and gaining weight during Covid. Having my little boy and finding out he has cerebral palsy led me to comfort eat and experience postnatal depression.
I knew I needed to do something for my health to ensure I’m here for as long as possible to care for my son.

Life has been great. The journey has had its ups and downs, but I feel so much healthier and happier, and I’m able to care for my son without struggling like I did before.
I see my life being healthier and longer thanks to having surgery, and I feel like I’ve been given a second chance.
What's one piece of advice you'd give to someone considering surgery?
